Internet cricket competition returns for a second innings
13 May 2004

The internet-based cricket competition, CLICKIT, where youngsters can win £250 of cricket equipment, is returning this summer.

CLICKIT AGAIN! is the brainchild of Preston law firm, MWR Solicitors, who run the competition in partnership with the junior section of the Moore and Smalley Palace Shield.

By answering a simple cricketing question posted on MWR’s website – www.mwrlaw.com - players under the age of 17 can win £250 worth of vouchers to be exchanged for cricket equipment.

Managing partner at MWR, Peter Meloy, said: “Following last year’s success with CLICKIT, we are delighted to run the competition again this summer.

“We received a high number of entries across the region in 2003 and look forward to receiving even more this time around. The junior section of the Palace Shield is thriving and MWR is happy to sponsor a competition where hundreds of enthusiastic youngsters participate.”

The draw is made in September, where three winners will be handed a 1st prize of £150, 2nd prize of £70 and 3rd prize of £30. All Palace Shield clubs are eligible to enter.

Trevor Wilde, Palace Shield spokesman, added: “CLICKIT proved to be a great success with the junior players and we’re happy to see it return for another run this summer.

“I’m sure we can attract even more interest from the ever-increasing number of youngsters playing in the Palace Shield.”

The winners will be announced at the Palace Shield annual presentation awards held in November.
