Law firm bolsters occupational disease department

Preston law firm, MWR Solicitors, has strengthened its occupational diseases department with the appointment of Morag Robertson.

The 47-year-old joins the firm as senior solicitor from Preston-based Marsdens, having previously been Head of Litigation and Employment Law at Hough, Halton & Soal in Carlisle.

Morag, who lives in Silverdale, said: “I am delighted to be joining the occupational disease department of MWR and building upon its success. I will be looking to develop our asbestosis work and generally keeping MWR’s diseases team at the forefront of the regional legal community.”

Managing partner, Peter Meloy, added: “Morag will add even more strength and depth to our occupational diseases department and provide cover for the employment law team. Morag is a multi-field specialist and is an excellent addition to the firm.”

Morag holds a LLB 2:1 from Teeside University and completed her LPC at UCLan. She is also a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), the Northern Employment Tribunal User Group and the ACAS consultation group.

Situated on Canon Street in the city centre, MWR specialises in insurance, employment, personal injury and occupational diseases law.
