FULWOOD and Broughton and Chorley have been crowned the under-17 and under-15 Palace Shield junior champions, respectively.
The under-17 final, played at Vernon Carus, saw Fulwood beat Leyland Motors by 3 wickets. Leyland batted first and scored 113 with Fulwood hitting 116 for the loss of 7 wickets. Stuart Burton of Fulwood was man of the match.
Leyland and Farington hosted the under-15 final which saw Chorley beat Fylde by 5 runs. Chorley defended their total of 143 by restricting Fylde to 138-7. James Parker of Fylde was man of the match with 69 not out.
