AMBITIOUS staff at leading Lancashire law firm MWR are climbing the career ladder to offer an even better service to their clients.
Legal executive Sharon Rigby, who specialises in industrial diseases claims, is now a qualified fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives – the professional body which represents over 22,000 members in the UK – and now faces two years of study to become a solicitor.
Sharon, who has worked at MWR in Preston for seven years, is currently heading the firm’s asbestos team and was instrumental in setting up a free legal help centre for sufferers of asbestos-related diseases in Cumbria.
Litigation executive Jim Kerr, who works in the personal injury team, has passed his ILEX exams and is now a MILEX – a member of the Institute.
Legal executive Joanna Stanton has four years study ahead of her after embarking on a graduate diploma in law to achieve solicitor status.
