Preston law firm, MWR Solicitors, has become the latest firm of solicitors to convert to limited liability partnership (LLP) as it positions itself for future growth.
MWR is a specialist in accident claims, employment law, conveyancing, wills & probate and family, and employs over 40 staff in Cannon Street.
LLP status was introduced in 2000 to provide a modern trading structure for professional firms, such as solicitors and accountants.
Speaking on the change, Altaf Patel, a partner at MWR, said: “The move to LLP status is part of a strategic plan developed by the partners to take us into the new era of legal services.
"It is a progressive move that will give us flexibility to expand as an innovative client-focused law firm."
